Standing presses for case-bound books were everywhere at one time. Many designs and types, both in iron and wood, were made in USA and Europe. Large book printing firms could have as many as 20 to 30 of them.
Seybold was a prolific manufacturer building guillotines, signature presses, paper drills and more. They went on to be taken over by Harris and along with Potter were known as Harris-Seybold- Potter for a time.
