Description:
Robert Vandercook started manufacturing proof press in Chicago in 1909. Dozens of models and variants were sold world-wide, including several examples in our collection. Joining the Vandercook family at the museum is the Model P219. It is a power model, with automatic functions. Many of them were converted to manual for safety reason. Today, hundreds of Vandercooks are still being used in art studios and boutique printers for letterpress need. They are well-built and easy to operate.
