Bookplates are small prints that are typically adhered to the inside covers of books and journals, indicating the book's ownership. In this workshop, printmaker Phoebe Todd-Parrish will introduce you to the project by showing some historical examples of bookplates and walk you through the process of designing a unique bookplate for you. Then we will transfer the design to soft linoleum, carve, and print your bookplates on paper that can then be adhered to any book in your library! This workshop is for anyone comfortable with using sharp linocut tools (likely 12 years + up), from complete beginners to advanced.
