We are pleased to offer a series of workshops during the Print Expo & Fair 2024. We are truly fortunate to have a group of very capable instructors who will be holding the workshops. All classes will be one-hour long and tailored to participants 12 years and older. Participation will be limited to 8 to 10 per workshop at the discretion of the instructor.
Each workshop will cost $25 per person, and include all materials required to complete the project being taught – no additional material fees are to be charged.
In addition to the workshops, we are pleased to bring to you a Special Presentation by Wesley Bates which is not to be missed.

In this workshop, you will make two constructions: the waterfall and its cousin, the flip book. Both structures are playful and dynamic, lending themselves easily to storytelling, photos, poetry, and art.

Join us for an exclusive demonstration showcasing the intricate process of printing a wood engraving portrait of Pete Seeger. This upcoming event will highlight the creation of a stunning two-color print on toned paper, resulting in a visually captivating broadside that gives the illusion of three colors.

This simple image-making process for the letterpress uses collaged paper and stickers to create different thickness plates that print darker and lighter. Your collaged plate goes under the printed paper to create the image.
