After years of direct involvement in the printing industry, our life-long dream of building a museum to house our collection has finally come to fruition in 2016. We set about to build a special place where we can marvel at how the geniuses in print communication in the last two centuries triumphed over the challenges of the day. Unlike any other, printing has spurred man to great things.
Howard Iron Works is supported by world-class talent in order to restore and present equipment just as it would have been when leaving the original factories.
Explore and enjoy the self-directed walk through the printing history - from 1830s to the mid-20th century, And, watch live demos on some of the unique and one-of-a-kind printing presses. Have questions, just look for anyone wearing the HIW apron for the answer.
