We recently opened our doors to welcome the Girls in Science group from Oakville and Mississauga.
The Canadian Association for Girls In Science (CAGIS) is Canada's largest and longest-running STEM Club for girls and gender-diverse youth. CAGIS takes STEM out of the classroom and uses a multi-faceted approach that has been shown to develop girls’ interest in STEM through various fun and hands-on activities, field trips, and exploring a wide range of topics.
At the HIW Museum, they learned about the history of printing and the technological advances through the centuries and enjoyed hands-on experience creating and printing their own posters.
