Description:

Founded in 1880, G.E. Reinhardt was a manufacturer of auxiliary equipment for typesetting & printing sectors, based in Leipzig. Products incl ruling machines, automatic sheet feeder, etc. Here is a Reinhardt stereotype cutter from ca 1920s.

During WW-II, G.E. Reinhardt had a dark history, as did many companies in Germany at the time. A subsidiary of G.E. Reinhardt in Sonneberg was converted into a Nazi forced-labour camp, supporting the German war effort.
