Description:

Hanging from the rafters is a BRILLANT UV Light Source, with charcoal sticks, made in Germany, circa 1961. The concept of arc lamp was invented in early 1800s by Sir Humphry Davy (1778-1829), a brilliant British scientist, chemist, inventor and poet, who was also responsible for numerous inventions and discoveries that were either directly achieved by Davy himself, or had roots in his past work.

Before CTP technology, arc lamp was used as light source in the conventional processing of offset plates. Today, relief plates are still utilizing UV light system for exposure and curing.
