With the popularity of Miehle V-36, Miehle followed the success with the introduction of the V-45 (4,500 sph) in 1931, and finally, the V-50 (5,000 sph) was launched in 1940.

Despite the wide-spread acceptance of offset by the 1960s, the V-50X (Extra Vertical) made its debut in 1964. Rockwell Graphic Systems (Miehle Printing Division) finally ended the Miehle Vertical production in 1978.
