Description:
Spurred by the success of the K cylinder presses, Heidelberg decided to develop a much larger format that would accommodate A4 16-pp perfecting work - all in 1-pass. At Drupa 1967, Heidelberg introduced the SRDW, loosely translated to "fast rotary perfecting press" with a Spiess Feeder. Our research indicates less than 126 were made between 1967 and 1973; when it was quietly put to rest. Finally, after years of searching, our museum procured one parked in a Berlin bookbindery.
