Description:
The Frontex Automatic Cylinder Press was made by Automatic Druckmaschinenfabrik Dr. W. Hinniger & Söhne, Berlin, in the 1950s. The modern era, high speed, small format, stop-cylinder machine features a conventional pusher type sidelay. The impression cylinder revolves continuously on the printing stroke, necessitating a manual impression throw-off. Ample time is available for the sheet to 'settle' while the cylinder was stationary on the return stroke. Two delivery grippers turned sheets over and deposited them onto the pile face up.
